This project required moving this historic log cabin two blocks from its original location to the Arts District of the Town of Breckenridge. The cabin’s logs are D-style logs. This means that there aren’t any fasteners to hold each log to its adjoining log(s). Moving it just a few blocks could have caused it to collapse, but shoring it up on the inside enabled the crane to pick it up and safely deliver it to its new home. The cabin was lowered onto a flatbed trailer prior to being reset in the ground. Today it functions as a studio for children’s workshops.
