BRECKENRIDGE WELCOME CENTER
Breckenridge

This unique welcome center is a compilation of three separate buildings. During construction, the front building of the three was demolished and rebuilt. This is where the information center is housed. One of two elevator’s installed in the welcome center is in this portion for basement access to restrooms. The center building is a historic cabin housing part of the City of Breckenridge’s Museum. During construction the cabin was restored and became part of the museum for The City of Breckenridge. The rear building is a continuation of the museum. Another elevator was installed in this rear portion to create more museum space. It was adapted from a three story structure to a two-story structure to allow for a sense of openness due to higher ceilings.
